Neeskens Disappointed with Downs Defeat

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Johan Neeskens was left disappointed following a 3-1 home defeat to PSL champions Orlando Pirates on Wednesday evening.

The Brazilians, who are now at the bottom of the log, were undone by goals from Thulasizwe Mbuyane, Takesure Chinyama and Sifiso Myeni, while Edward Manqele netted a late consolation at Loftus Stadium.

Neeskens said, “I am disappointed, like them (the supporters), the club, the players…everybody is.

“Losing 3-1 at home is not good. We started well, a lot of movement and passing, playing forward. But in some parts of the game we were very naive.

“How we conceded the first goal, we were ball-watching. For the second one there was a moment in midfield, with two players going for the ball, we were too nice. You can’t always be nice. I don’t say you have to kick the guy, but when the ball is there, you must sometimes take the ball and the man.”

Question is : Can Mamelodi Sundowns bounce back from the seback and make it to the Top 8 by May 2013?
