Reports suggest Real Madrid will offer a cut price for Karim Benzema to Arsenal in order to finance a move for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.
The Metro report that Real Madrid are willing to sell Benzema to Arsenal for £20million in January having bought the French striker from Lyon for £30million in 2009.
Reports in Spain suggest Carlo Ancelotti is willing to let Benzema leave after scoring just two league goals all season.
Real Madrid have been linked with a move for Suarez all summer and look finally set to make a move when the January transfer window opens, although the Metro suggests they will first make a space for him in the squad.
Arsenal are said to be at the top of the clubs interested in Benzema although the possible £20million prize tag could entice a few big clubs to battle them for his signature.
Arsene Wenger had been keen to sign Benzema in the summer, the Metro reports, but wasn’t prepared to pay his £40million price tag.
It would be a great deal for Arsenal but I am not sure Benzema can really cut it in the EPL, he looks like a lazy person but we have all seen in the past how Arsene Wenger can influence a player’s game; hopefully he will do the same for Karim who has turned into a target for Madrid boo boys.
Do you see this move happening?
