Itumeleng Khune seems to be ready to close Kaizer Chiefs as a chapter from his book, Bobby Motaung is very sour about the whole ordeal. The thought of losing Khune clearly brings a bitter taste to his taste buds as he has already started excluding him in team affiars.
According to Sunday World, Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung ordered security to block Khune from running onto the pitch to celebrate with the team after the final whistle.
“They blocked him before he could come out of the tunnel. They told him Bobby said he must not go anywhere near the pitch,” a Sunday World source said.
It is alleged that Motaung feels the 27-year-old goal-minder, who is yet to extend his Chiefs contract, is no longer committed to the club.
Chiefs and Khune’s representative Dan Lichman have yet to reach an agreement regarding the goalkeeper’s immediate future.
Bobby Motaung did however give clarity on the matter, stating that there is absolutely no beef between himself and Khune.
There was no celebration by players on the pitch as fans took over, in the dressing room players congratulated each other and the coach (Stuart Baxter) froze the celebration as the team has three more games to finish.
Khune is serving a red card suspension surely we all know he can’t enter the field as Premier Soccer League DC just found our coach guilty of invading the pitch while on suspension.
Shame on you Sunday World for making headlines with a complete fabrication.
