Real Madrid and Manchester City have booked their places in the semi-finals with both teams winning their quarterfinal clashes respectively.

Real Madrid vs Wolfsburg ( 0-2 first leg)

Los Blancos were faced with the toughest task to overturn a two nil aggregate score against the Germans, with the large crowd of Santiago Bernabeu behind them they did the unthinkable. Talisman Cristiano Ronaldo was on song as he scored a hatrick walking away with the match ball and winning the tie 3-2 for Madrid. Barcelona fans made offensive chants about Ronaldo during a match

Barcelona and their supporters face punishment after they were reported on Tuesday for repeated derogatory chants against Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo during Sunday’s 5-0 win over Levante at Camp Nou.

According to a report compiled by Spain’s Professional Football League authority (LFP), supporters in the south stand at Camp Nou repeatedly chanted “He is a drunk, Cristiano is a drunk!” in the 65th minute of the game, in reference to the Portuguese’s controversial celebration of his 30th birthday the previous Saturday in Madrid.

“A group of approximately 200 people identified with scarves, banners and flags from supporters’ groups of the local club and in particular, the group known as ALMOGAVERS, located behind the banner identifying that group, started singing the following song: “He is a drunk, Cristiano is a drunk!,” the LFP revealed in a statement on their website, adding that the chant was carried out “repeatedly” and “exclusively” by those fans while others were well-behaved.

The details of the report, which also cites abusive chanting in the Sevilla-Cordoba and Albacete-Betis clashes, have been passed on to Anti-violence and Competition Committees, which could choose to fine both Barca and the fans in question for their behaviour on Sunday.

Ronaldo has long insisted he does not drink alcohol, but was pictured looking worse for wear at his birthday party on February 7, just hours after Madrid had lost 4-0 to Atletico in a disappointing derby defeat at the Vicente Calderon.

I Bewitched Ronaldo Claims A Ghanaian Witchdoctor

By Daniel  Chokoe

A Ghanaian witchdoctor has claimed responsibility for the injuries which is currently
threatening Cristiano Ronaldo’s participation  in the World Cup.

The Los Blanco star has been struggling with various injuries which have forced him to train
separately from his Portuguese teammates.

The Guardian now reports that witchdoctor Nana Kwaku Bonsam claims he has been the man
behind Ronaldo’s injuries.

He told Kumasi-based radio station Angel FM : “I know what Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury is about;
I’m working on him,” Bonsam claims.
“I am very serious about it. Last week I went around looking for four dogs and I got them to be
used in manufacturing a special spirit called ‘Kahwiri Kapam’.

“I said it four months ago that I will work on Cristiano Ronaldo seriously and rule him out of
the World Cup or at least prevent him from playing against Ghana, and the best thing I can
do is to keep him out though injury.
“This injury can never be cured by any medic; they can never see what is causing the injury
because it is spiritual. Today it is his knee, tomorrow it is his thigh, next day it is something
else.”

Ghana and Portugal have been drawn together in Group G. Being African I believe that witchcraft exists however I do not think it is strong to that extent. If it was really that powerful then Asamoah Gyan would have scored that penalty against Uruguay in 2010. If muti really worked then we would have had atleast five coubtries from Africa winning the world cup however that is not the case, this guy just needs to be reported to SPCA for animal cruelty period. Meanwhile some of us are hoping to see the world player of the year at his best this month.
