I was keen to see the last 16 draw which promised to give us delightful fixtures, and the draw did not disappoint.

I am going to go through all the 8 matches and predict the outcome of the 1st leg games.
Manchester City vs Barcelona fc
The blues’ achievement for reaching the last 16 for the first time in the club’s history was rewarded by a tough fixture with seasoned performers Barcelona FC. The Citizens high on confidence from beating Bayern Munich and Arsenal will be confident of upsetting the Catalans. However Neymar and co will not take the defeat without pulling a good fight.
Prediction : Manchester City 1 – 3 Barcelona FC
Olympiakos vs Manchester United
The Greek side will be hoping to get a historic win over the inconsistent Manchester side, however Moyes’ boys will go into the game confident of a win to book a quarterfinal spot.
Prediction: Olympiakos 0 – 2 Manchester United
Ac Milan vs Atletico Madrid
Ac Milan survived a scare from Ajax Fc who almost cost them a place in the last 16, they come up against a team beaming on form both in their domestic league and cup.
Prediction: Ac Milan 0- 3 Atletico Madrid
Bayer Leverskusen vs PSG
Bayer Leverskusen have failed to instill fear to opposing teams especially in Europe unlike other German teams.
They are up against the star-studded french side on a mission of being the best team in Europe. The odds are stacked against the German side.
Prediction: Bayer Leverskusen 2 – 5 PSG
Galatasary vs Chelsea
This is a match where the Turkish club’s Didier Drogba will come face to face with his former employers whom he helped to the 2012 title and served with merit in his time at Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho’s blues will be favourites to go through however we saw with how they defeated Juventus that the Turkish side are capable of defeating any team on their day.
Prediction: Galatasary 2-2 Chelsea
Bayern Munich vs Arsenal FC
Holders Bayern Munich face Arsenal for the second year. Arsenal defeated the Champions 2-0 at home the last time the two teams met and will be looking to achieve a similar result.
Guardiola’s men will be hoping to avoid a consecutive defeat from an English based team after they lost to City.
Prediction : Arsenal FC 2-1 Bayern Munich
Borussia Dortmund vs Zenit St Petersburg
Last season’s runners-up Borussia Dortmund will be looking to wrap it all up in the 1st leg however the Russian side may have other ideas about it. Zenit St Petersburg’s defence will need to be extra sharp to stop Lewandowski and co from scoring which is almost mission impossible.
Prediction: Borussia Dortmund 4 – 1 Zenit St Petersburg
Real Madrid vs Schalke
Real Madrid, seeking a 10th title, play Germany’s Schalke 04, Ballon dor favourite Ronaldo will be looking to further strengthen his position to win the award by capping of with a good perfomance. Since the final is being held in Portugal he will be extra motivated to guide Los Blancos to the final.
Prediction: Real Madrid 3-0 Schalke
The first leg ties will be played on 18-19 Feb and 25-26 Feb 2014
The final is at Lisbon’s Stadium of Light on May 24.
